The life of invisibility

Updated: Oct 6

**Running from the Shadows**

Faster than a bird could fly, I ran.

Not toward something—but away.

Away from the life of invisibility.

Away from the silence that swallowed me whole.

So I ran.

Have you been running?

If so, where are you going?

I’ve been a runner all my life.

It’s the one behavior I perfected.

Born into a family I believed hated me,

I learned to hate back.

I learned to hide.

I learned that silence was safer than truth.

I hid in the shadows—

From my life, from people, from my mistakes.

Nobody saw me in the dark.

And for a long time, that felt like safety.

What are you hiding behind?

Will you come out?

One day, it happened so fast—

Like scales falling from my eyes.

I saw the truth.

I realized I’d been living through the lens of emotion,

Not clarity.

A conversation with my sister changed everything.

She recalled a childhood event,

And I thought, *“That’s not what happened at all.”*

Have you ever heard someone tell a story

And realized their version wasn’t yours?

That moment was the beginning of my emergence.

I began to grasp my side of the story.

Not to prove anyone wrong—

But to face the fear

And destroy the lies that kept me silent.

For the record,

There are no winners in the game of life in my family.

Only survivors.

Only seekers.

Has your life let you down?

My website exists to help people find their voice.

To awaken hearts.

To remind you:

You are worth telling your story.

You are worth the life you long to live.

I spent years searching for someone to help me change,

Grow,

Learn.

Poverty has a high price.

It can cost you your freedom—

The freedom to believe in who you are.

My path was blocked for years.

I tried to please everyone.

I hid in shame.

My voice was buried beneath

“Shut up.”

“Stop talking.”

“No one wants to hear you.”

Or worse—

The friends who kept me for the count.

The job that used me for their gain,

But never let me speak.

Who is blocking your path?

Please know:

Your story is worth telling.

Your life is worth fighting for.

Only you can be the author of your life.

I pray for the day you no longer want to be silenced.

That the voice you hear is your own.

That you, too,

Can come out of the shadows.
