Laurie Amber speaks from the heart of lived experience, guiding women from trauma to transformation. Her voice carries healing, truth, and restoration—whether in prisons, pulpits, or recovery circles.
🌿 Ministry Background-
Laurie Amber is the founder of Finding Hope, a trauma-informed, spiritually grounded ministry devoted to guiding women from pain to purpose. With over 16 years of experience mentoring women in correctional facilities, recovery programs, and transitional settings, Laurie has built a sanctuary where healing is not just possible—it’s sacred.
Her ministry blends evidence-based frameworks like DBT, ACEs, Maslow’s Hierarchy, and WRAP with the timeless truths of Scripture. She has facilitated years of women’s Bible studies, faith-based programs, and evangelism training through Evangelism Explosion and XEE. Her outreach includes Kairos prison ministry, women’s addiction classes, rehabilitation centers, and deep engagement with the homeless community, jails, and prisons—meeting women where they are and walking with them toward restoration.
Rooted in her own journey of transformation, Laurie’s work is both personal and prophetic. She honors the legacy of her mother, Patricia Ann Brown LaPorte, and the resilience of her siblings by weaving ancestral strength into every lesson, every prayer, and every outreach.
Finding Hope is more than a program—it’s a movement. A place where women rise from the shadows, step into the light, and begin again.
